The SCALANCE W778-1 M12 EEC is a rugged Industrial WLAN (IWLAN) access point engineered for reliable wireless communication in railway, transportation, and harsh industrial environments. Featuring a single radio, two N-Connect antenna ports, and support for IEEE 802.11a/b/g/h/n standards, it operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands with a gross data rate of up to 300 Mbps. Advanced features can be activated via a Key-Plug, while WPA2/802.11i/e security ensures protected wireless communications. The device includes two M12 Ethernet ports supporting data rates up to 100 Mbps, an integrated PoE-capable 2-port switch, and redundant 24 V DC power inputs for high network availability. Designed for extreme operating conditions, it features an IP65-rated housing, M12 A-coded connectors, conformal coating, and compliance with EN 50155 and EN 45545 standards. With an extended operating temperature range of -40 °C to +75 °C, the SCALANCE W778-1 M12 EEC delivers dependable performance in demanding applications. The scope of delivery includes M12 sealing caps and German/English manuals on CD-ROM. Intended for operation outside the USA and Israel, the device must be used in accordance with applicable national approval requirements.
