The SCALANCE W1788-2 M12 is a high-performance Industrial WLAN (IWLAN) access point designed for demanding industrial and outdoor applications requiring fast, secure, and reliable wireless connectivity. Equipped with two radios and four N-Connect antenna ports, it supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/h/n/ac standards across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, delivering gross data rates of up to 1733 Mbit/s per radio. Advanced features can be enabled via a CLP (Configuration Plug), while WPA2/802.11i/e security helps protect wireless communications. The device features two Gigabit M12 Ethernet ports supporting data rates up to 1 Gbit/s, integrated PoE functionality, and redundant 24 V DC power inputs for enhanced network availability. Its rugged IP65-rated enclosure, M12 A-coded connectors, and operating temperature range of -20 °C to +70 °C ensure dependable performance in harsh environments. The SCALANCE W1788-2 M12 also includes a CLP slot for simplified configuration management and comes with the MPCIE-R1-ABGNAC-U4 wireless module. The scope of delivery includes M12 sealing caps. Intended for operation outside the USA and Israel, the device must be used in accordance with applicable national approval requirements.
