The SCALANCE W786-2 RJ45 is a high-performance Industrial WLAN (IWLAN) access point designed for secure and reliable wireless networking in demanding industrial and outdoor environments. Equipped with two radios and six R-SMA antenna ports, it supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/h/n standards on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands, delivering a gross data rate of up to 450 Mbit/s per radio. Advanced features can be enabled via a Key-Plug, while WPA2/802.11i/e security provides robust protection for wireless communications. The device features a Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet port supporting data rates up to 1 Gbit/s, integrated PoE functionality, and redundant 24 V DC power inputs, with optional 110 to 230 VAC operation via the PS791-2AC power supply. Its rugged IP65-rated enclosure and operating temperature range of -40 °C to +60 °C ensure reliable performance in harsh industrial conditions. The SCALANCE W786-2 includes a plug slot for feature expansion and comes with MPCIE-R1-ABGN-U3 wireless modules. The scope of delivery includes a terminal block and German/English manuals on CD-ROM. Intended for operation outside the USA and Israel, the device must be used in accordance with applicable national approval requirements.
