The SCALANCE W748-1 RJ45 is a high-performance Industrial WLAN (IWLAN) client designed to provide secure and reliable wireless connectivity in industrial automation and networking applications. Equipped with a single radio, three R-SMA antenna ports, and support for IEEE 802.11a/b/g/h/n standards, it operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands with a gross data rate of up to 450 Mbps per radio. Advanced features can be activated via a KEY-PLUG, while WPA2/802.11i/e security ensures protected wireless communications. The device features a Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet port supporting data rates up to 1 Gbps, integrated PoE functionality, redundant 24 V DC power inputs, and a signaling contact for enhanced monitoring capabilities. Its IP30-rated housing and operating temperature range of -20 °C to +60 °C make it suitable for demanding industrial environments. The SCALANCE W748-1 includes the MPCIE-R1-ABGN-U3 wireless module and is supplied with two joint blocks and German/English manuals on CD-ROM. Intended for operation outside the USA and Israel, the device must be used in accordance with applicable national approval requirements.
