The SCALANCE W748-1 M12 is a rugged Industrial WLAN (IWLAN) client designed to deliver secure and reliable wireless connectivity in demanding industrial and outdoor environments. Featuring a single radio, three N-Connect antenna ports, and support for IEEE 802.11a/b/g/h/n standards, it operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands with a gross data rate of up to 450 Mbps per radio. Advanced features can be enabled via a KEY-PLUG, while WPA2/802.11i/e security ensures protected wireless communications. The device is equipped with a Gigabit M12 Ethernet port supporting data rates up to 1 Gbps, integrated PoE functionality, redundant 24 V DC power inputs, and a signaling contact for enhanced network monitoring. Its robust IP65-rated enclosure, M12 A-coded connector, and operating temperature range of -20 °C to +60 °C make it ideal for harsh industrial applications. The SCALANCE W748-1 M12 includes a plug slot for feature expansion and comes with the MPCIE-R1-ABGN-U3 wireless module. The scope of delivery includes M12 sealing caps and German/English manuals on CD-ROM. Intended for operation outside the USA and Israel, the device must be used in accordance with applicable national approval requirements.
