Overview of Proxim Tsunami MP-825-CPE-100 Radio
The Proxim Tsunami MP-825-CPE-100 Point-to-MultiPoint Radio is an outdoor customer-premises wireless unit designed to connect remote sites to a compatible point-to-multipoint base station. It operates in the 4.9–5.925 GHz frequency range, subject to local regulations, and supports 2×2 MIMO technology for wireless data transmission. The unit includes an integrated 15 dBi dual-polarized panel antenna and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface with Power over Ethernet (PoE). Its specified maximum throughput is 100 Mbps, making it suitable for extending network access where installing wired connections is difficult.
The Proxim Tsunami MP-825-CPE-100 Point-to-MultiPoint Radio can connect remote buildings, industrial facilities, utility sites, and monitoring stations to a central wireless network. It is useful for distributed sites that need network access without installing fiber or long copper cable runs. In Industrial Automation, it can provide a wireless Ethernet path for compatible monitoring equipment, remote terminals, and network-connected devices. It may also support data transport for SCADA and IIoT deployments when the radio link, network architecture, and security controls meet application requirements. A clear installation plan should account for antenna alignment, line of sight, interference, distance, and permitted frequency use.
