Overview of MOXA TN-5524-8PoE-P24-CT-T Switch
The MOXA TN-5524-8PoE-P24-CT-T Managed Ethernet Switch is a 24-port Layer 2 switch designed for railway onboard networks and industrial communication systems. It provides eight 10/100BaseT(X) PoE ports and 16 additional 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports, all using M12 connectors for secure connections in transportation environments. The switch operates from a 24 VDC power supply and features conformal coating for added protection in demanding conditions. Its managed switching functions support traffic control, network segmentation, and redundancy across Industrial Ethernet infrastructure.
The switch combines 24 Fast Ethernet ports with PoE capability on eight ports, helping reduce separate power wiring for compatible devices. M12 connectors provide secure interfaces suited to railway equipment, while the metal housing and IP40 protection support installation in appropriate onboard environments. Its 24 VDC input operates across 16.8–30 VDC and includes overload current and reverse-polarity protection. The wide operating temperature range of -40 to 75°C supports deployment in varying railway conditions. Compliance with EN 50155 and EN 50121-4 addresses relevant railway environmental and electromagnetic requirements. These features support Industrial Connectivity and Network Infrastructure for transportation systems, SCADA communications, and Industrial Ethernet applications.
