Overview of MOXA SFP-10GERLC Module
The MOXA SFP-10GERLC 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ Module is an optical transceiver designed to provide high-speed fiber connectivity for compatible industrial Ethernet switches and network equipment. It supports one 10GBase-ER port using single-mode fiber and a duplex LC connector, with a typical transmission distance of up to 40 km over suitable G.652 fiber. Operating at a nominal wavelength of 1550 nm, the module supports long-distance links between network segments. It is intended for industrial network infrastructure where 10 Gigabit Ethernet bandwidth and optical connectivity are required.
The MOXA SFP-10GERLC is suitable for Industrial Networking environments that require high-bandwidth fiber links across extended distances. It can connect compatible managed switches in utility networks, industrial facilities, and distributed control installations where copper Ethernet may not meet distance requirements. In Industrial Automation and SCADA systems, 10GBase-ER connectivity can support communication between network aggregation points, control rooms, and remote infrastructure. The single-mode optical interface also helps isolate connected network segments from electrical interference along the fiber path. Compatibility with the host device should be checked before installation.
