Overview of MOXA OnCell 5004-HSPA Router
The MOXA OnCell 5004-HSPA Industrial Cellular Router provides cellular connectivity for industrial devices and remote Ethernet networks. The router includes four 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN ports for connecting local devices. Designed for Industrial Networking, the OnCell 5004-HSPA supports dual SIM functionality, firewall protection, NAT, and VPN capabilities. These features help integrate remote equipment into distributed Network Infrastructure while providing options for secure communication and cellular service continuity. The model is a phased-out product, so current availability and carrier compatibility should be verified before deployment.
The MOXA OnCell 5004-HSPA combines cellular connectivity, Ethernet switching, and network security functions in one industrial device. Four LAN ports simplify connections for multiple field devices, while NAT and firewall features help control traffic between network segments. VPN support provides an option for protected remote access to industrial equipment. Dual SIM support enables cellular service redundancy where compatible subscriptions and network configurations are available. This can help maintain remote access if the primary SIM connection becomes unavailable. For existing installations, the router can extend Industrial Connectivity without requiring a wired WAN connection, provided a compatible HSPA network remains operational.
