Overview of MOXA NPort IA-5150I-S-SC Device Server
The MOXA NPort IA-5150I-S-SC Serial to Ethernet Device Server connects serial equipment to Ethernet-based industrial networks through a Single-mode fiber-optic interface. It supports RS-232/422/485 serial communication and 100BaseFX fiber connectivity with an SC connector, helping integrate legacy equipment into modern Industrial Networking environments. Designed for industrial installations, with 2 kV serial isolation, the device provides dual 12–48 VDC power inputs and DIN-rail mounting. Its fiber interface supports communication over longer distances than conventional copper Ethernet links and helps reduce exposure to electromagnetic interference along the network path.
The MOXA NPort IA-5150I-S-SC supports flexible Industrial Connectivity by combining serial-to-Ethernet conversion with Single-mode fiber communication. Its SC fiber interface supports links up to 4 km under specified fiber conditions, helping connect equipment across separated production areas. Dual 12–48 VDC power inputs provide an additional power connection for industrial installations. The device supports DIN-rail mounting, a 0 to 55°C operating range, and industrial certifications including ATEX, IECEx, and Class I Division 2. These features help engineers integrate serial equipment into industrial networks while meeting installation and environmental requirements.
