MOXA IKS-6728A Series Features
The Moxa IKS-6728A series is loaded with features that enhance performance, ensure network dependability, and minimize downtime. With built-in Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain technologies, the switches support network recovery times of less than 20 milliseconds for up to 250 connected switches to facilitate uninterrupted operation during link failures. In addition, support for STP/RSTP/MSTP protocols further strengthens network redundancy and fault tolerance in the IKS 6728A series. Configuration and monitoring are streamlined through MXstudio, Moxa’s user-friendly industrial network management suite, which allows quick setup and troubleshooting. The Moxa IKS 6728A switches are equipped with 1 kV LAN surge protection to guard the network against electrical surges. V-ON™ technology guarantees millisecond-level recovery for multicast traffic and video streams. This particular feature makes the switches well-suited for applications requiring real-time communication, such as surveillance or process control. Designed to withstand extreme environments, there are models among the Ethernet switches that operate across a wide -40 to 75°C temperature range under full 720 W PoE loading. The switch includes eight 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports and 4 Gigabit combo ports to support high-bandwidth communication needs. Its modular design includes two slots for interface modules, which offer flexible port combinations including 10/100BaseT(X), 100BaseFX, 100Base PoE/PoE+, and 100Base SFP. This flexibility ensures easy scalability and customization for diverse deployment needs. Moreover, this series with rackmount Ethernet switch capabilities supports EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and PROFINET to seamlessly integrate with most industrial automation systems. With an IP30-rated metal housing, wide 24–220 V input voltage range, and robust rackmount design, this series provides the scalability, durability, and reliability required for complex and evolving industrial network infrastructures.
